 Java is a high-level programming language and is platform-independent.

Java is a collection of objects. The compiled code of Java runs on most Operating Systems including Windows, Linux, and Mac OS.

 Structured Query Language (SQL) is a domain-specific language used to communicate with a database. Tasks like an update on a database, or retrieving data from a database are performed with the help of SQL statements. 

 Multithreading refers to a process of executing two or more threads simultaneously to maximum utilization of the CPU. Thread refers to a path followed while executing a program.  An advantage of Multithread is that it does not allocate separate memory areas and thus saves memory. Multithreading improves the responsiveness of a system 

Swing is a set of the program components. It provides the ability to create Graphical User Interface (GUI) components. It is used for creating window-based applications. Swing in Java is a part of the Java Foundation class.

JDBC (Java Database Connectivity ) is the Javasoft specification of a standard application programming interface. It consists of a set of interfaces and classes written in the Java Programming Language. It is used to provide a standard interface for connecting to different DBMS-es. 

 Object-Oriented Programming is a programming paradigm based on the concept of objects. There are four Fundamental concepts of OOP- Inheritance, Encapsulation, Polymorphism, and Data abstraction. Five main principles of(OOP): Single responsibility principle, Open-closed principle, Liskov substitution principle, Interface segregation principle, and Dependency inversion principle.
